Bertolini's project was developed with the aim of enhancing logistical capacity and performance to promote the company's growth.
The giant Interfood Importação, which operates in the food and beverage sector, experienced significant growth in a short space of time and needed to review the logistics processes at its new Distribution Center in São Paulo. Bertolini's project was developed with the aim of enhancing the company's logistics capacity and performance to promote growth.
In order to generate efficiency in operations, the main features introduced by Bertolini are based on the company's daily operations. The Center now has diversified products based on receiving, storage, distribution and ABC curve factors. Considering the volumetric and operational speed factors, necessary to achieve the best cost-benefit ratio.
Another important factor for the new Interfood Distribution Center is that it already foresees high operational gains, resulting in greater volume and turnover in Dynamic system storage. As well as a large quantity of products, with low, medium turnover and receipt (buffer).
Furthermore, static Drive-in structures were designed for storage, and static pallet racks were used for high-turnover and highly selective goods. The modern and innovative project included the best strategy to ensure the best performance in logistics processes, which involve forklifts and operators.
In developing the project, the Pareto concept was used, which on average, 80% of revenue represents 20% of its products sold, and these items were dimensioned for structures that enable operational speed, activities based on the FIFO principle and use of space, characterizing the Dynamic system.
Dynamic System
With a customized solution, the new Distribution Center holds 1,452 pallet positions, representing 132 addresses (channels) in a Dynamic System.
Drive-through system
As well as 931 pallet positions in the Drive-through System, representing 19 streets with 49 pallets on each street.
Drive in system
For the Drive-in System, there are 973 pallet positions, representing 20 addresses with 21 pallets per address (product family) and 20 addresses with 28 pallets per address (product family).
Pallet Rack System
For the Pallet Racks, 5,588 pallet positions were customized for a family of products that require greater selectivity.
Delivering quality products, which aim to provide the best performance and cost-benefit to its customers, is part of Bertolini Sistemas de Armazenagem's routine.
